The visual identity for the event Les Plages Psychédélique - Trancinetik at la Plage de Glazart, Paris. (27/09/19)
We had a troop of UV dancers come and join the experience. It was interesting to integrate a real life photo (central face) into the design, coordinating colors and style to create a harmonious composition.
While working for Paris based DeBonneville-Orlandini, I felt very privileged to be handed down projects from big name companies to create content for NRJ. Having recieved the original photoshop file from the Transformers team (my first few hours were spent going through all the layers in utter bewilderment), I was tasked to integrate the NRJ logo into the visual universe of Transformers.
Naturally, that NRJ puma had to become bionic ! I stuck together parts of different machinery images and edited the whole, color correcting, texturing and paying close attention to lighting to make it look integrated in the scene.
Aenean malesuada mattis volutpat. Nunc molestie neque nec rutrum aliquet. Suspendisse tristique ornare ipsum eget placerat. Sed dignissim finibus ligula, vel porta nisl posuere vitae. Sed in facilisis quam, et ultrices metus. Cras ac imperdiet diam, vel gravida mi. Mauris molestie metus eu lorem lacinia blandit. Integer ut venenatis velit.
While working for the Paris based DeBonneville-Orlandini, I had the greatest pleasure of being tasked with the entire visual identity for the NRJ Radio DJ Awards for 2017. As one of my first big projects, this required a lot of coordination, organization and speed in production to meet the demands of all the publicity and content under many forms.
After a few trials, the main visual was confirmed by NRJ and even a few world renowned artists (David Guetta, Martin Garrix, etc)! I got to see my visual identity flourish into a professional, nationwide campaign for the awards. It got edited into videos, stage backdrops, billboards, as well as a huge online presence on social media platforms.
I love to be visually intriguing in my work and visual identity. Looking at my old simple-looking wordy CV, I decided to change things up. Out came Cinema 4D, Photoshop and InDesign !
The visual identity for the event DUALITY, at Glazart, Paris. (18/01/19) This is the first event I orchestrated from start to finish: proposing an exclusive Duo Act lineup and developing the night’s concept, booking, managing, déco, visuals, promoting, social media, etc. Feels amazing.
I had been pondering on this night’s concept for a while and went to Mandelbulb 3D to delve into fractal worlds to try and find an inspiring scene. I wanted two beings to be present, a somewhat mechanic / alien vibe, and vector geometry.
The visual Identity for the artist LUTIN DES BOIS, dear friend and head of Oreades Production.
It was my entry ticket into the association, promptly obtained from a quick conversation after one of his gigs. It got a lot of praise and was later transformed into an animation that was projected directly on stage in later events!
The visual identity for my dear friend and great musician Illian.
I got to use personal pictures from my time living in Portugal, and grew quite attached to the warm visual they produced… I got to go wild with the color choices as I like, and there’s something about hexagons… ^^
The first visual identity for the event Oréades Trance Festival at la Plage de Glazart, Paris. (31/05/19), which was created for the A4 flyer design.
I wanted to create something special, something collectible. I coordinated a full two A4 page composition so that once placed one on top of the other, two flyers can create a detailed and colorful ‘tall poster’. The visual is composed of lengthy Illustrator illustrations, a vectorized hand-drawn mandala, and Photoshop coloring and editing. The online identity of the festival is a night time version of the flyer, look for OTF Part II !
The visual identity for our new year’s event Mystic Door, at Glazart, Paris. (31/12/19) The night was a blast to oversee, great energy and happiness all ‘round!
The concept was clear, a door to the new year. I went back to some good old photo manipulation with nature as I love to do! Mossy forests, stone textures and lighting, a bit of added vector geometry and voilà!
The visual identity for the event Dark Desire, at Trabendo in Paris (14/02/20). Truly my most prized accomplishment as production/communications/visuals manager for Oréades Productions. Having integrated the association just under a year prior to this event, the beginning of 2020 saw some difficulties for the team and I had to take over Oréades operations entirely. This gave me the unique, very stressful but satisfying experience of taking care of this ambitious concept I had pitched a year before, and seeing it bloom into one of the most successful events Oréades has thrown in the capital.
I was throwing the event in a different location than our usual venue, and seeing the higher production value I wanted to bring to the experience (professional décor with projection mapping, and a lineup of world renowned artists), the visual called for something particular, different to my usual compositions and unique to the spirit of the night (romantic, dark, psychedelic, high energy and mystical music).
I was so invested in the process, I had to create a promotional video to accompany the online presence. The night was an electrifying success!
My visual identity for the event BLAST OFF, at Glazart, Paris. (18/10/19) I had the great pleasure to organize this one, with the help of Oreades Production. It was the first time I was an integral part in producing the event, creating the overall concept, arranging headliners, booking and managing, etc.
I had a lot of fun finding a weird, quirky composition with an alien, space like quality to it, a creative impression i get when listening to this event’s particular lineup. I wanted to keep an element of nature as the centerpiece and symbol of Oreades Production.
The online visual identity for the event Oréades Trance Festival at la Plage de Glazart, Paris. (31/05/19), different from the flyer version (see Oréades Trance Festival).
As the festival started during the day and ended in the night, I wanted to bring the two dimensions into the visual presence of the event. The process to create this identity was fun: having well organized the initial project I tweaked all the different elements one by one to create a nighttime version of the colorful, sunny flyer.
The visual identity for the event ROSHANI, at Glazart, Paris. (23/10/19) A very special night with dear friends and artists!
I had a lot of fun with this one, starting from a 3D space generated through fractal mathematics with Mandelbulb 3D! I then digitally painted all the lighting and vegetation to give life to the scene, playing around with values and shadows during the process.
The visual identity for the event TREEP, at Glazart, Paris. (02/11/19)
The musical genre of the night was a fast paced style of trance (hi tech), very technological and intricate, with an organic feel to it. I went with a base of nature photos manipulated and layered over with hand painted details and lights. I also added some Mandelbulb3D creations into the mix to spice it up!
